Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar has embarked on a two-day visit to Prague, aimed at bolstering bilateral relations and tackling regional security matters. This visit underscores the ongoing efforts by Israel and the Czech Republic to enhance diplomatic, economic, and strategic ties amidst shifting regional dynamics.
Sa’ar is expected to engage in discussions with Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka and meet with Czech President Petr Pavel. These meetings are part of a series of high-level exchanges between the two nations, with both countries previously hosting each other’s officials earlier this year. In April, Macinka visited Israel to further solidify this cooperative relationship.
A key component of Sa’ar’s visit is his participation in a Czech-Israeli business forum, which will see the involvement of numerous Israeli companies. This forum reflects the growing economic partnership between the two countries, as both sides continue to explore opportunities for increased trade and collaboration.
Earlier meetings in April led to an agreement to set up a joint commission focused on expanding trade, particularly in the healthcare and cybersecurity sectors.
