Polish President Karol Nawrocki has convened a special meeting of the Council of Ministers’ Cabinet, requiring Prime Minister Donald Tusk and his government to explain their strategy on key national investments and the state of public finances. The session is scheduled for August 27.
The agenda will focus on three central issues: the condition of the national budget, progress on major infrastructure projects such as the Central Communication Port (CPK) and nuclear power plants, and measures to protect Polish agriculture from the impact of foreign imports.
Nawrocki emphasized that many of Poland’s breakthrough projects are currently either delayed, reduced, or blocked, stressing the need for clarity on how the government intends to proceed. The discussions are expected to provide insight into the administration’s development priorities and financial management.
The meeting will also review steps to shield domestic farmers from market pressures tied to trade arrangements with Mercosur and Ukraine, which have raised concerns about the stability of Poland’s agricultural sector.
